In 1984, at the invitation of Chief Judge Charles Clark, a group of Fifth Circuit appellate lawyers met in his chambers to discuss the creation of a new association to improve and facilitate the administration of justice in the federal courts within the Fifth Circuit.
The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit (“BAFFC”) was created and went on to elect Marvin S. Sloman has its first president. Michael J. Bentley is currently serving as BAFFC’s 21st president.
